In February 2010 I was invited to talk on Pecha Kucha night here in Oslo, and it turned out to be a great experience. In 6 minutes 40 seconds I presented my self and my work and I have got a lot of positive feedbacks after the event.
For those who haven’t heard about this before: Pecha Kucha, means “chitchat” in English, and its an event for young creative’s to show their work to the public. Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. Pecha Kucha nights are held all over the world. Badelandet is a new water park that will open this summer (2010) in Kristiansand Dyrepark. As part of a design team at Grid Design, I helped develop concept, design and illustrations. Badelandet will be able to take 3000 people at once in the amazing slides and water attractions. I can’t wait to see the finished result when it opens in June, and I will off course show you more from this project when its launched. On Saturday the 13th of February, I was invited to ”pimp up” jeans for the clothing brand Monki. The goal was to create a little more fuzz around Monkis Jeans collection witch is inspired by the 90s. Together with four other designers, I sat down round a big table, all filed with accessorise, clothes to cut from, glitter and glam, and used my creativity to style up the jeans. I must admit I am not so happy about the result, but at least I had a great day and lots of fun! The day ended with a party/exhibition filled with champagne, candy and music from the 90s.

Every year Grid Design sends out a Christmas greeting to all of its customers and this year I helped design it.
We wanted to create a greeting card that could be used to something “more” so we made it with three pop-out stars to be used as gift-tags. When the stars are popped out the card can be folded so that it easily can be placed standing on a table. You can eve place a small candle behind it to make it shine trough the stars. The great Italian design magazine Abitare wanted me to write articles for their web edition, and who says no to Abitare? My first article kicked of the year on the first of January 2010 and as they will publish my articles about every 14th day I will update this folder… so stay tuned here and at abitare.it!

LMF is the national union for people in Norway living with Inflammatory bowel disease. Since 2008 I’ve been the editor for their magazine that comes out 4 times a year in a number of 5000 ex. It goes out to members of LMF as well as medical centres and hospitals all over the country.
My work consists not only of delegating work to the other members of the editorial staff, but also doing the layout design, writing articles and making illustrations. In 2009 I did a redesign of the graphical layout and profile of the magazine.

Playmedesign the blog where I write my heart out each day, showing new and interesting stuff within the field of graphic-, product-, packaging-, interior- and web design. It started out as a blog project between me and my friends at our school in Italy in 2007 but when school ended I took over the blog on my own, writing posts and doing the layout for the page. The blog quickly became quite popular and has been mentioned in several international design magazines. In autumn 2009 Playmedesign moved over to be part of the Carousel platform.

I’ve made a couple of different greeting cards design, that are for sale at Etzy.com, Tante Guri (Kampen, Oslo) and Ruth 66 (Thorshov, Oslo).

My good friend Tine Moe made some nice tee prints and together we came up with an idea for the photo shoot. Although they are t-shirts we wanted to demonstrate our love for the design by wearing them out in the freezing snow, as well as in a cold and dark cellar…

This is a collection of hand made jewelleries I first started making in the beginning of 2009. The holly brooch, rabbit earrings, rabbit pin, whale earrings and weather forecast are all hand drawings made on plastic with silver earpieces. Fishy necklace are made of real bait in different colours with silver necklace. Disco necklace is a small disco ball of mirrors, in different colours, with a long silver necklace.

In 2008 some of my friends opened a small store in Oslo, and asked me to do the graphic profile for them. The design is based on an old photo of the actual Tante (aunt) Guri, and I’ve given it a classic look with a black background and a decorative flower element. The store, witch you find at Kampen park, is a design-, art- and event store, and it has turned out to be the nicest store in Oslo, with the best atmosphere and cool products.
Here are some pictures of the store with the foiled decoration for the windows, business cards and price tags.
